This is a movie podcast about finding queer themes damn near everywhere. Hosts Alethia St. Joan and Danny Carroll share a 30+ year friendship that has been bound together by a shared love for movies. A trans woman and a gay man respectively, Alethia and Danny explore what these movies meant to them while they were young and closeted, and what revisiting these movies means for the actualized, arguably maladjusted adults they’ve become. It’s a heady, often crass and sometimes crude blend - part nostalgia trip, part queer theory, part film criticism. Check it out!

The usual introductory episode where we cover the basics - who we are, what this podcast is about, and why we think it's important for queer people to see their experiences reflected in ALL art, whether it was made explicitly for queer people or not. We give an explanation for why some gendered words are bleeped but f-slurs are not, and why you should listen to this podcast with your teenager even though it has many aforementioned f-slurs.
